Daily to fortnightly, mostly after dark

Regular Cleaning Services and After-Hours Commercial Cleaning

Our regular cleaning services keep Melbourne workplaces clean between the moments people notice: the kitchen at 8am, the bathrooms after lunch, the meeting room before a client walks in. A fixed crew comes on set nights, works from a written checklist and leaves a record behind. This page covers how often you might need us, how after-hours visits work and how your keys are handled. It sits within the full range of commercial cleaning we offer.

Consistency

How do regular cleaning services stay consistent?

Regular cleaning services stay consistent when three things never change: the checklist, the crew and the record. We write the tasks for every area before the first visit, keep the same cleaners on your site, and log each visit so gaps show up quickly.

Most complaints about regular cleaning are not about effort. They come from drift. A new cleaner does the obvious jobs, the weekly tasks slip to fortnightly, and after three months nobody has wiped the skirting boards or cleaned out the microwave. Nobody decided to stop; the list just faded.

A written checklist stops the fade. Each area of your site, from the entry to the storeroom, gets a list split into nightly, weekly and monthly jobs. The monthly tasks are spread across the four weeks, so a visit never balloons and nothing is left for a rainy day.

The crew matters just as much. A cleaner who comes back to the same building learns where the recycling goes, which tap drips and which manager likes the boardroom chairs pushed in. That knowledge is worth more than any product, and it disappears every time a cleaning company rotates staff through a site.

The record closes the loop. You can see what was done on any night, and when something is missed, the record shows whether it was on the list. Either the list changes or the cleaning does.

Frequency

Should you book daily, weekly or fortnightly cleaning?

Book daily cleaning if people eat on site, the public comes through or bathrooms get heavy use. Two or three visits a week suits most small offices. Weekly or fortnightly regular cleaning works for low-traffic sites such as studios, storage offices and practices open a few days a week.

A starting point only. The walk-through sets the real frequency for your site.
FrequencyUsually suitsWhat each visit focuses on
Daily (5 to 7 nights)Retail, hospitality, busy offices, public-facing reception areasBathrooms, kitchens, floors and bins every night, rotating deeper tasks
3 nights a weekOffices of 20 to 60 staff with one or two kitchensFull clean on each visit, with Monday tackling the weekend and Friday the week
2 nights a weekSmall offices and clinics where staff tidy their own desksWet areas and floors first, desks and glass on alternate visits
WeeklyStudios, small professional suites, part-time premisesA thorough reset of every area in one longer visit
FortnightlyStorage offices, rarely used meeting spaces, site shedsDust, floors and bathrooms before they build up

Headcount tells only half the story. A 25-person accounting firm with one small kitchen needs less time than a 25-person design studio that cooks lunch together and hosts clients every afternoon. We look at how the space is used, not just how big it is.

You can change frequency later. Plenty of clients start at three nights, then drop to two once a deep clean has reset the site, or add a night in December when the office fills up for end of year work. Changes go in writing and the price moves with them.

Holiday shutdowns are planned too. If your office closes over Christmas, we pause the regular visits and can book a deeper clean in the empty week instead, so staff come back in January to a building that has had more than its usual going-over.

After hours

How does after hours commercial cleaning work?

After hours commercial cleaning happens once your staff leave, usually between 6pm and 11pm on weeknights, or before opening for shops and cafes. Weekend visits are available for sites that trade Monday to Friday and want a full reset before the new week.

  1. Arrive and disarmThe crew signs the key out, enters the alarm code and checks the site is empty.
  2. Bins and kitchensRubbish and recycling out first, then benches, sinks and the dishwasher.
  3. BathroomsCleaned top to bottom and restocked, with the floor last.
  4. Floors and desksVacuuming, mopping, hot desks and the tasks set for that night.
  5. Check and lock upWalk-through, lights off, alarm set, key signed back in, visit logged.

Night work suits most offices because nobody is in the way and the building is ready by morning. It also means the crew often works alone. We follow WorkSafe Victoria guidance on working alone, with check-in times and a supervisor who knows where every cleaner is.

Commercial night cleaning is not the only option. Retail stores usually prefer an early start so the floor is dry before trade, and some offices keep a short early-morning visit for kitchens and bathrooms. Weekend cleans attract higher award rates, so we only suggest them when the site really needs it.

Access

How are keys, alarms and access handled?

Keys, fobs and alarm codes are managed through a written register. Each key has a tag, is signed out to a named cleaner for each visit and is signed back in afterwards. Alarm codes are issued per cleaner where your system allows, so every entry can be traced.

Access is the part of commercial cleaning that makes owners nervous, and fairly so. A cleaner has the run of your premises when nobody else is there. The register means you can always answer the question of who had the key on a given night.

Key tags carry a code, not your business name or address, so a lost key does not lead anyone to your door. If a key does go missing, we tell you the same night and pay for the lock change or re-keying.

Buildings with their own security, such as CBD towers with swipe access and loading dock bookings, get an access plan in the scope. We arrange inductions with building management before the first visit, not on the night.

When a cleaner leaves our team, their codes are removed and their keys returned the same week. You get a note confirming it.

Lower impact

Can a regular program use eco-friendly products?

Yes. On request we run regular programs with low-fragrance, lower-toxicity products, microfibre cloths that need little or no chemical, and measured dosing so nothing is overused. It suits workplaces with sensitive staff, sustainability targets or a green building rating to maintain.

Microfibre first

Good microfibre lifts dust and grease with water alone on most desks and glass, which cuts chemical use across a whole building.

Measured dosing

Concentrates are diluted to the maker's ratio every time. Stronger mixes do not clean better; they leave residue and waste product.

Fragrance-free

Scented products are a common trigger for headaches. We can run a fragrance-free kit for the whole site or just shared rooms.

Waste sorted

Recycling, organics and landfill stay in their own streams. If a bin is contaminated, we note it rather than tip it all together.

If your building needs products certified under a particular environmental label, for a tenancy rating or a client contract, tell us which one at the walk-through. We will confirm what we can supply before you sign anything, rather than promise it and swap later.

Lower impact also comes from how often things are done, not only what is used. Cleaning a lightly used meeting room every night wastes product and hours; cleaning it twice a week and the kitchen every night puts the effort where the dirt is. Getting that balance right on the checklist is usually the biggest saving a site can make, in cost and in chemicals.

Quote

How do you get a price for regular cleaning?

Ask for a free site assessment through our contact page. On the visit we settle the frequency and checklist together, and afterwards you receive a written quote with a fixed price per visit. The price only moves if the scope or the number of visits changes.

For a feel for costs before we visit, see our guide to commercial cleaning prices. If your site has fallen behind, start with a one-off deep clean so the regular program begins from a clean base. Offices can also read our page on office cleaning in Melbourne.

Have your current cleaning days, any staff complaints and your access details handy for the visit. If you share a building, tell us who manages it, since their rules on hours, lifts and waste often shape the plan.

Questions

What do people ask about regular cleaning?

Three questions come up before almost every regular program starts: how often to clean, whether we work overnight and whether the same people come each time. Short answers follow, and the walk-through covers the rest for your particular site.

Which frequency do I need?
Most small offices need two or three visits a week, while retail and hospitality usually need every night. The deciding factors are kitchens, bathrooms, visitors and how many people are on site each day. We recommend a frequency at the walk-through and you can adjust it after the first month.
Do you clean overnight?
Yes, if your site needs it. Most evening visits finish before midnight, but venues that close late, such as bars and gyms, can be cleaned in the early hours so the site is ready at opening. Overnight and weekend hours cost more because of award penalty rates.
Same cleaners every time?
Yes. Each site has a regular crew who learn the building, and the same people come back each visit. When someone is on leave, a trained fill-in works from the same checklist, and we tell you who is covering. We do not rotate random staff through your premises.
